Exiting news for The Northern Quarter! Ben Spier and Keith Patterson, who both have decades of experience in the nightlife and hospitality industry, have shared that they’re taking over the former Cord site on Dorsey Street.
We won’t have to wait long to give the exciting new bar a visit; NYQ is expected to launch at the end of April 2018. The Northern Quarter already has a booming bar scene, but NYQ will offer a new original concept. Visitors can expect a relaxed yet alive atmosphere below street level every weekend.
NYQ is first and foremost, a laid-back cocktail lounge, inspired by 1980’s New York, and will boast a distinct character. Visitors will have a chance to experience NYC 80’s vibes, with a mind-blowing group of DJs and the odd guest appearance. The stripped-back basement will have an excellent mix of calmed imaginative ambition and infamous hedonism, all in one place.
NYQ will be spread over two floors, the higher level will include a spectacular bar, offering a decadent selection of cocktails by NYQ’s talented bartender Ben Scorah. Also available will be an impressive selection of wines, beers and spirits.
